Prof. Perry Hobson, PVC for Global Engagement, was recently pleased to welcome a small delegation fromÌýÌý(UM) led by Dr. Vincente Salvadore Montano, Dean of their College of Business Administration Education (to the Lakeside campus). UM wasÌýestablishedÌýin 1946, and is one of the oldest universities in the Southern Philippines. It is a non-sectarian institution based in Davao City, with 9 campuses and branches in Southern Mindanao. It has a total student population of 41, 962 and is the largest private university in Mindanao.ÌýDr Montano came to visit Taylor's University with his colleagues, Ms. Rowena Cuevas-Cinco and Ms. Lani Lim, as part of a SE Asia fact-finding trip of Business Schools They visited just three institution - the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) and Taylor's University. During their visit, they met with Ms.ÌýVinitha Padmanabhan Guptan, Dean of the Taylor's Business School, and also Ms. Jayvien Lau in regards to short-term student mobility options – as well as Emeritus Professor Dato’ Dr. Hassan Said the Vice-Chancellor.
