
SHINE is Taylor's University innovative second transcript award that complements a student's academic achievements. The fourth component of the SHINE award is 'Global Engagement' and to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the United Nations (UN) SHINE is organising a UN Day at Taylor's University. The event will be held on Saturday,October 24th, 2015 from9am – 5pm.The celebration will be open with the first in the series ofSHINE Distinguished Speakers, and the Keynote address will be on “Malaysia in a Global Community” delivered byYAM Tunku Zain Al-‘Abidin ibni Tuanku Muhriz, the Prince of Negeri Sembilan and Founding President of the Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs (IDEAS). Following on from the Keynote there will be aSHINE Global Perspectives Seminar, which will be a Forum to discuss and debate the current condition of human rights in Malaysia.
